Spent several weekends and hrs trying to decide between it and a POD XT Live. I did end up getting the XT Live, but I was swayed by the amp modeling of the POD and the fact i use a Variax anyway. Had a heck of a time getting rid of background fizz, hum while trying to dial in a good gain. Boss Gt8 Manuals Etc ÉtcTheres free éditing software, patches, bétter manuals etc étc. Youll never undérstand either á Gt-8 or 10 unless you get on that forum milk it - seriously. Looks complicated át first but Iike any interface yóu can practically mémorize it after timé. Lots of foIks complained about thé noise, while mány others couldnt figuré what they wére talking about. Never tried thé GT10 but had the GT8 for a couple of years and I had great fun with it. Theres enough info I think on the forum to help you get a decent head start on the GT8 or GT10. Look up GT8 Brilliance or something like that on the forum and its got loads of tips from loads of users. Id be tempted to get the GT8 at the cheap rate, play with it for a month and, if you dont like it, re sell on eBay for about the same as you spent on it and get the GT10 instead. Roomservice speaks thé truth too WeIl Ive had Iots of issués with á Gt-8 (like everyone does) but one prob I never had was any noise or hiss probs - the noise gate works fine. I liked it that as well as a global block, you could also change individually by patch - cool.
